Virtually Out of the Virtual World
I've been in exile from cyberspace for the past two weeks, and will be mainly out of the loop for three more. I'm still in the process of moving out of my Bloomington apartment while having to work in Galesburg without a day off until early August. I took my PC into Best Buy had and them put in a gigabyte of RAM and a DVD-RW. And I've got it set up in my in-laws' basement. But, sadly, I haven't been able to keep up with my friends in cyperspace. I hope to be back in the blogosphere by mid-August. By then, I may at least have my regular days off. I'll take a cue from SzélsőFa and label this post "whining."

why not steve, a little whining and a little retreat once in a while are good for the soul, i've been a little out of things myself recently but i know it does help :-))...
good luck with all that needs doing, keep well...
See you when you can appear. No worries.
I want a report on your impressions of Galesburg.
It's temporary. I'm sure everything will be back to normal soon. Take care.
Charles Gramlich said "back to normal!" And they say there's no sense of humor on the web!
Certainly, I do not hear you pining for going "back to Normal."
Moving can be such a nightmare. Good luck getting everything done and keeping your head on.
It's that time of year, Steve! Good luck with everything! K.
Take care and good luck with all those turmoil, Steve!
Thanks for taking my label as a reference:)
Hi steve. It's me, Kurt Kuden. I have changed my url to www.kurt-kuden.blogspot.com. Sorry for very late inform.
cant wait to hear from you soon. Good luck!
When all you can do is whine. . . eat cheese! I can't wait to read your impressions of Galesburg!
Oh-- I am making a plum wine right now. It will be ready in four years.
Wine makers love getting older as their wines get better! i don't knwo what I would do if I had to move because of my wines. They don't liek to move.
Thanks for all your comments. I've had a lot going on--no days off (except for July 25) for the last 3 weeks, with one week left to go. July 26 was my daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception at the former Rock Island Lines depot in Rock Island, IL (Kathleen and I left from that station 35 years ago on our honeymoon). I hope to have some pictures soon. It was the same day Jim ran the Bix 7--a seven-mile race up and down the steep hills of Davenport,Iowa. My impressions of Galesburg are limited, as I'm commuting in from Davenport. I hope to have some impressions of Northwest Davenport soon.
